The Chinese Archaeology and the Chinese Classical Books: The Case of the Department of the Archaeology in the University of Tokyo

【要旨 / Abstract】
中国考古学は歴代の文献研究や金石学を基盤として20世紀初頭に始まった。それ故中国考古学を専門とする研究機関には、現在でも多数の漢籍が残されることがある。報告者は近年、東京大学文学部考古学研究室所蔵の漢籍約380点の整理を行った。本セミナーでは、コレクションの紹介、その形成過程と特色、これらと20世紀前半の中国大陸における日本人の発掘調査・考古学研究の進展との関係性について考察したい。
The Chinese archaeology began in the early 20th century on the basis of the philology of the Chinese history. As a consequence, the Department of the Archaeology in the University of Tokyo owns many of the Chinese classical books such as ones on the geology and the Chinese epigraphy.
Last year, I tried to organize three hundreds Chinese classical books, which are owned by the Department of the Archaeology in the University of Tokyo, as the basic working on the study of the Chinese archaeology with emphasis on the ancient Chinese bronzes. On this seminar, I will introduce the overview of this collection and investigate when these books were collected and how the Japanese scholars have done the archaeological researches in China through this collection.
