東文研セミナー“Administrative Life in Late Imperial China As Seen Through Autobiographical Materials”(Pierre-Etienne Will ,College de France名誉教授) が開催されました

2016年9月15日、Pierre-Etienne Will(College de France名誉教授)による講演“Administrative Life in Late Imperial China As Seen Through Autobiographical Materials”を開催しました。

伝統中国の官僚指南書とされる官箴書について、東文研大木文庫所蔵のものも含め世界中の図書館での調査を踏まえ、その共通性と多様性、自撰年譜など明清期の他の書物との比較、について論じられました。

以下、講演の冒頭です。

I have been conducting research for a number of years on the so-called “official handbooks” (官箴書) of imperial China. The most sizable result of that research is an analytical and descriptive bibliography, which has been an ongoing project for perhaps a quarter century. It is now in its final stages of completion, however, and I hope to be able to deliver the finished manuscript to the publisher (Brill in Leiden) in about a year from now.
