延世大学校 Institute of Korean StudiesとInternational Journal of Asian Studiesがワークショップを開催

2025年5月9日、延世大学校韓国学研究所（IKS、所長：Hyun Joo Kim教授）は、International Journal of Asian Studies（IJAS）の編集者らを招き、ワークショップを共催しました。これにより、編集者、研究者、大学院生の間で幅広い交流が生まれました。

ワークショップは、主催者であるWonhee Cho副所長の紹介から始まり、Helen J.S. Lee教授による基調講演「Seoul ŭi changa: Kungmin Kayo (国民歌謡), Affect, and History」が行われました。出版の実務と課題について、IJASのエグゼクティブ・エディターであるSebastian Veg教授がIJASの編集プロセスについて説明をしました。

午後には、延世大学に所属する若手研究者7名が、アジア研究における幅広いトピックに関して研究を発表しました。

各発表は、活発な議論を促し、アジア研究のより広い分野への新しいアプローチと繋がり、そして出版への道筋を検討するための建設的な環境を作り出しました。また、変化する学術界の状況や、学生が英語で論文を発表することへのプレッシャーについても活発な議論が行われました。これらの議論などは、夕食をとりながら夜まで続きました。

IJASは今後もアウトリーチと協力的なオンサイトワークショップを企画していく予定です。
