ABOUT THE SERIES
The University of Tokyo Studies on Asia is an Open Access, English-language research monograph series with the mandate to promote excellence in Asian studies conducted in Asia. It is published by the University of Tokyo Institute of Advanced Studies on Asia, in partnership with Springer/Nature, and funded by donations through The University of Tokyo Future Society Initiative. We aim to make available the results of the best Asian studies scholarship to anyone who can connect to the internet.
