Tobunken Seminar : Japonya’da Sohbet-i Osmaniye-7

We are delighted to announce that the Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia, The University of Tokyo, will be hosting the workshop, “Japonya'da Sohbet-i Osmaniye-7” (Tobunken Seminar) on January 23 (Tue), 2023. The purpose of Japonya'da Sohbet-i Osmaniye is to promote scholarly exchange by bringing together emerging scholars in Japan and leading scholars from around the world in the field of Ottoman history. As the discussant of the seventh workshop, we have invited Professor Gülay Yılmaz from Akdeniz University, Turkey. Professor Yılmaz is a renowned specialist on the history of Ottoman janissaries. The workshop will be held in person. The language of the workshop is English. No pre-registration is required. We look forward to your participation.
