【Abstract】
Drinking liquor had been indispensable to humans throughout history. Particularly, wine as an indulgence in Ancient West Asia could be the oldest among the world. This brief presentation shows an archeological study on origin and development of wine. Through vessels probably intended for wine drinking and/or preserving, the speaker outlines the chronological sequence of production and distribution of ancient wine related to urbanization in the West Asian region.
