【Title】 The Zen Practices of the Scholar-officials in Song Dynasty: Focusing on So-Syoku

【Abstract】

In Song Dynasty, Zen was extremely flourishing among the scholar-officials. Mostly, they were inclined to reach Shin-menmoku (真面目) through Syoshiki (声色) in their Zen practices as how So-Syoku(蘇軾) did. Furthermore, this aesthetic character of their Zen practices produced effects on their literature.
