Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia (IASA), University of Tokyo, and Institute of Sociology (IOS), Academia Sinica, Taiwan, will be co-hosting 2nd International Joint Workshop for Young Sociologists on 21st and 22nd of February, 2011, at IASA.
Those who wish to present a paper are requested to send e-mail to Prof. Shigeto Sonoda (shigetosonoda[at]ioc.u-tokyo.ac.jp), organizer of the joint workshop, with the following information by 15th of November, 2010.
- 1) Name
- 2) Affiliation and Position
- 3) Tentative Title of the Paper/Presentation
- 4) Summary (200 Words Maximum)
- Those who are qualified to apply are 1) graduate students (MA, Ph.D.) of University of Tokyo or post-docs who are studying at the University of Tokyo.
- Topics should have something to do with sociological inquiries in a broad sense.
- After checking the quality of the summary, Prof. Sonoda will announce those who were selected as paper presenter by 30th of November.
- Those who are accepted as a paper presenter are requested to submit full paper by 10th of February.
- About 10 paper presenters will be selected considering that 9 post-docs will join from Taiwan side.
Paper presenters will be invited to welcome dinner as well as farewell dinner hosted by IASA and IOS. Two lunches will be offered during the workshop.
The organizer sincerely hopes that many young sociologists will apply for this call for papers.
