TSUJI Asuka received her B.A. (2003) and M.A. (2006) from the University of Tokyo. Before joining the Institute in 2009, she was a research fellow (DC2) of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (2008). She also studied two years in Egypt (2006-2008). She is now working on her Ph.D thesis entitled “Relationship between Muslims and Copts in Mamluk Egypt: As Seen from Coptic Eyes”.
