【概要 / Abstract】
草虫画は親しみ深い草花や小さい虫などを中心モチーフとする絵画である。このモチーフは朝鮮や日本でも、古来、立身出世や長寿などの吉祥の意味が込められて描かれた。
毘陵(武進・晋陵)は、現在の江蘇省常州の旧名である。伝統的に絵画制作が続けられてきたこの地は、水禽蓮花図とともに、草虫図をはじめとする花鳥画で知られている。
本発表では、作品の比較を通して、毘陵の草虫図が朝鮮草虫図の中でどのように受け入れられ、変化してきたのかについて述べる。
The Sochuga 草虫画 is a genre of painting which draws the familiar motifs of flowers and small insects seen in everyday life. Due to the auspicious connotation, such as success in life and longevity, these motifs have been traditionally depicted in Korea and Japan.
Piling (毘陵), the old name of Chang-zhou (常州, Jiangsu) in China was famous for the paintings of flowers and insects. The paintings of the Piling school had an influence on paintings of Korea and Japan. This seminar explores how the paintings of Piling School were accepted and transformed in the Joseon dynasty Korea through the comparison of the existing paintings of this kind.
