  アマルティア・センは『正義のアイデア』の中で、どのように正義を追求すべきかという方法を提示した。その中で、アダム・スミスの「公平な観察者」は重要な位置を占めているが、自分自身のことしか考えない利己主義な人々からなるコミュニティで正義はどのようなものになるかを考えてみたい。
