We conducted a study tour on “The Diversity and Coexistence of the Religious Practices of India.”
Nine students and four supervisors joined in the tour.

5. Details:
-We visited a city in South Asia that is historically important for Shiites, and observe the practices of Muslims during the Mawlid, the observance of the birthday of the Prophet.
-We also visit the mausoleum for saints of the Chishti order (an order of Sufism belonging to the Sunni that is tolerant of other religious sects), and investigate the religious practices there.
-We learned about the past and present of Muslim networks (both Shiite and Sunni).
-Participants will be able to consider how researchers can continue to engage in fieldwork in the future through observing the accompanying educators.
