The 1st Reading Circle of Islam and the Culture of Clothing

We inform you of the 1st reading circle of Islam and the Culture of Clothing, which started by public contribution invited by the Study Team 5A, whose subject for study is "Muslims in Everyday Life". At the study meeting, we would like to consider problems about the culture of dress in Islamic regions overall.

At the reading circle, we will pick up Languages of Dress in the Middle East compiled by Nancy Lindisfarne-Tapper and Bruce Ingham (Curzon Press 1997), and introduce the precedent studies. This is to be a study meeting which will also "inspire visual images". We are waiting for your participation.
