Group A Overall Yearly Research Plan
Group A held a meeting to discuss this year's research plan on
April 18 in Conference Room 1 of Building 7 of Sophia University.
It was decided that the following group will be sent on foreign
dispatch.
Sarai Album Research Survey: Islamic Cultural Propagation as Seen
Through Images and Documents.
MIZUNO Minako will lead this group on foreign dispatch to Turkey
in August or December. Accompanying her will be 4 research
associates.
In addition, the following was decided concerning the call for
research plans by young researchers.
- 4 applications were received.
- 2 applications were accepted.
- Judgement was reserved on 1 application (to be reconsidered at
a later date).
- 1 application was rejected (subsumed under one of the accepted
applications).
Accepted Research
- OTSUBO Reiko, (Graduate School of the University of Tokyo)
"Islam and Clothing Culture"
- Professor TAKAKI Keiko will participate as co-leader.
- SAITO Tsuyoshi, (Graduate School of Tokyo Metropolitan
University)"Saint Belief and the Phenomenon of Increased Tourism
in Morocco"
- Professor AKAHORI will participate as co-leader. This research
is currently part of Professor AKAHORI's research group on saint
belief.
