2011年2月21日(月)から22日(火)にかけて、中央研究院社会学研究所との合同ワークショップが開かれました。
社会学研究所からは、蕭新煌所長と王甫昌副所長が研究員を代表し、9名のポスドク/博士課程学生を引率してこられました。他方で東大からは8名が論文を提出し、合計17名がそれぞれの研究成果を報告しました。
また21日の午後1時から2時半にかけて、お二人の研究者から、それぞれの研究成果の一部を報告していただきました。蕭新煌所長は、2006年のアジアバロメーターのデータを用い、香港と台湾を比較することで見られる政治的信頼の「パラドクス」を取り上げ、王甫昌副所長は、1980年以降の台湾民主化のプロセスがエスニシティ(意識)の「再編成」と強く結び付いてきた点を指摘されました。
研究テーマは、ネットワークやメディア、階層などさまざまでしたが、実に有意義な意見交換がなされました。
合同ワークショップはこれで2回目ですが、蕭新煌所長からは「二往復目に入ろう」という提案がなされ、会合は無事終了しました。
