【要旨 / Abstract】
唐代から宋代にかけて、中国仏教は終始朝廷と一定の関係を維持した。その中、国家守護を目標とした護国仏教は特に代表的だった。そして、外国人僧侶が護国仏教に果たした役割も注目される。本報告は外国人僧侶の中国での活動を考察し、外国出身の僧侶たちが中国唐宋時代の護国仏教での重要性と意義を検討したい。
從唐代到宋代，中國的佛教始終與官方維持一定程度的關係，而以守護國家為核心目標的護國佛教可以說是其中的一種代表形式。值得注意的是，外國僧侶在護國佛教中扮演的角色，往往顯得特別引人注目。本報告希望以外國僧侶在中國的活動為主要考察對象，探討在中國唐宋時代的護國佛教中，來自外國的僧侶具有的重要性及特殊意義。
Foreign Buddhist Monks and State-protective Buddhism in Tang and Song China During Tang and Song China, Chinese Buddhism has always kept certain relations with central government. State-protective Buddhism, that declaring protecting the country as its main purpose, may be a typical example. Also, the roles that foreign monks plays in state-protective Buddhism are worthy of further consideration. The activities of foreign monks in China will be examined in this paper, and the importance and meaning of these foreign monks in state-protective in Tang and Song China
will be discussed.
