Abstract:
 東アジアの近代知を考察する場合、前近代から近代にわたる大きな流れとして、仏教を無視することはできない。中国では康有為、章炳麟、梁啓超らの革命思想家が、日本では井上円了、和辻哲郎らの近代思想家が仏教思想の影響を受けていた。本シンポジウムでは、宋代以降の東アジアで仏教の教科書・百科全書の役割を果たした『宗鏡録』の諸影響と、東京大学における近代仏教学の成立に焦点を当てて、東アジアの仏教知の伝統と近代を考察する。
