Abstract:

近世日本の貨幣史はいわゆる三貨体制を中心に研究されてきましたが、江戸幕府の発行した貨幣以外に別の金貨・銀貨も流通していました。特に近世初期に特定な地域でしか生産されなかった領国貨幣が存在したのです。各藩で鋳造されたその領国貨幣はまだ貨幣制度が整っていなかった段階で諸大名の支配体制の構築を支え、各地域における貨幣使用の安定化を可能にしました。本報告では加賀藩を例に挙げて、17世紀前半に領国貨幣が果たした役割や機能について考えたいと存じます。
