TUTIA Seminar/Tobunken Seminar/The ASPS Gilas Seminar Series “Mowlana Rumi: A 13th-century Iranian Poet, Islamic Scholar, Theologian and Sufi Mystic”

Institute for Advanced Studies on Asia is pleased to announce the seminar “Mowlana Rumi: A 13th-century Iranian Poet, Islamic Scholar, Theologian and Sufi Mystic.” The seminar features Professor Masataka Takeshita, professor emeritus of the UTokyo, who will give a lecture on Mowlana and his mystical thought. A mini-concert of Iranian traditional music and recitation of Rumi\’s verses in Persian will follow. Anybody interested in the subject is most welcome.
